SF Asian Youth Talent Competition

The SF Asian Youth Talent Competition covers dance, vocal and instrumental categories, open to 6th to 12th Asian American students. The competition is open for submission until February 15th, 2016 and the final competition performance is on March 12th, 2016.

Prizes for the winners, in partnership with with two great national music centers include:
– Selected winners will get an opportunity to perform at AFAF Carnegie Hall program
– Up to $2000 scholarship from Brevard Music Center
– Summer Camp in China for Chinese students
– Cash prizes from Competition committee
Top musicians in the Bay Area will join the judge panel, including the music director and conductor of Peninsular Symphony and Santa Cruz Symphony, Mitchell Klein and Daniel Stewart. The lead judge is Sandra Wright Shen, a renowned concert pianist.
The competition is organized by a few non-profit organizations: Sandong Association has been promoting Chinese Confucius culture for 34 years, and Shin Shin Educational Foundation has raised more than $10 million and built 340 schools in the poor area of China.
